It's amazing the effect that the essence of human emotion can have on an audience, showcasing the deepest parts of pain in union with the complexities of beauty and love. The new #Netflix original series #AfterLife does incredible job, through comedy and emotionally packed scenes, portraying the torture that one endures when losing a loved one. Nothing about the elements of this narrative seemed false or out of place, creating a balance that mimics the very realities of life. Comedy sets the stage, but simply plays a minor role within the scope of the overall narrative. Powerful acting and well timed humor help to paint a picture that describes the importance of living every day as if it were the last. The beauty of life lies not within materialistic things, but rather in the fact that it can't be rewatched or re-lived. Happiness is within our control and the pain we feel is a result of relinquishing that power in ourselves. In short, if comedy mixed within a heartwarming and meaningful narrative is something you enjoy, then #AfterLife is definitely worth the watch.
