Review: 90% (A-) Must See

Season 1 of the #Netflix original series entitled #MediciMastersOfFlorence was one filled with a bit of disappointment, due to a lagging narrative that never seemed to reach the climatic point that audiences are drawn towards. It leaves one with an unsatisfied feeling, making the anticipation for season 2 an afterthought until its sudden release. However, #MediciTheMagnificent vastly out plays its predecessor and delivers a product that is emotionally and dramatically engaging. It is difficult to compare the two seasons, due to the fact that they encompass different journeys within the Medici story, but season 2 provides a spark that showcase the true nature of revenge and hate. At times the narrative does have a tendency to drag, but the incredible twists add a layer of mystery to each scene, keeping the audience rushing back for more. The final episode is the spark that lights the flame and propels this story to heights that will leave one saddened and angered for the fate being witnessed. In short, season 2 is a must see, especially if unpredictable and emotional drama is something you crave.
